Emergency Data Communications

At the US Navy National Capital Region, Advetco delivered data communications restoration in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, while providing rapid response mission critical support for disaster recovery and continuity of Government. In addition, Advetco was responsible for infrastructure modernization and redesign, IT implementation and integration, testing and documentation.

Network Design, Implementation and Operations

Advetco monitored and managed network operations, deployed upgrades and implemented new systems, provide third tier help desk support, while ensuring thorough and compliant testing and documentation for the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI).

Curriculum Development and Training

Under contract to Skyline Advanced Technology Services, Advetco subject matter experts developed a comprehensive Threat Analysis Framework Training for Cisco Systems. The new curriculum focused on the big picture of how ransomware was evolving and impacting the use of technology, and directly effecting reliability and continuity of operations, throughout government and commercial industries. The Advetco training system aggregated real world experience that and knowledge on the anatomy of cyberattacks. This system has been presented to Cisco internal engineers (2000+) worldwide (in 40 cities, across 22 countries, in 17 languages) as part of a “Ransomware Defense Roadshow.” Advetco trainers and cyber security SME’s also used it to evaluate DARPA’s defense posture. The framework seeks to create actionable information by analyzing three components of a cyber-threat: the attacker, the payload, and the infrastructure, using statistical models to identify the connections used to route the threat to vulnerable systems.
